  1. Review by Home Builder in Tucson Arizona.

Posted by Rick Stephenson - Pepper Viner Homes on 19th Aug 2010

My name is Rick Stephenson. I am the director of Construction for Pepper Viner Homes in Tucson Arizona.

At Pepper Viner Homes, we have been engaged in research and the building of green energy efficient homes for years now. The company has always attempted to stay out in front of the upcoming trends and best practices towards common sense building. We have done so by educating ourselves on new technologies and alternatives for building that make sense for the consumer and for doing the right things to conserve energy and resources.

Here in Tucson Arizona, conserving water has always been on the forefront and is now becoming even more of a factor as we continue to grow. For some time we had been looking for a suitable gray water system that would be both affordable and easily installed in the field. This task was daunting as we soon realized that there weren’t many resources available out there that actually could be utilized affectively for production home building. At the point of being ready to shelf the concept until a latter date for awhile we were invited to a meeting presentation at The City of Tucson Water office. This is where we met Paul and was introduced to Just Water Savers USA. Through Paul’s diligence in working through our questions, combining the various component of his flexible gray water system, and working the details out with the Water Company and municipality, we successfully installed two complete systems in a model home park, Sunnyside Pointe. The systems are working beautifully and are actually being used by the City of Tucson as a “Water Harvest Demonstration Site” for the general public. The Demonstration site is used to educate the public on practical ways to utilize reuse water and conserve one of most valuable resources.

All in all, Pepper Viner Homes will continue to use Just Water Savers USA for all of our future Gray Water needs. The City of Tucson has adopted an ordinance that now requires all new residential construction to include rough-ins for Gray Water use and I’m sure they other municipalities here will soon follow. Through Paul’s assistance, we are now well equipped and prepared to provide our customers with this valuable provision in their homes. Adding to the value of this system, we know we can install the complete system inexpensively and it will be very simple to maintain. As I mentioned earlier, Paul’s system is very flexible and can be converted to both shallow and deep public sewer connections and is a slam dunk for septic systems!
